2009 Fairline Targa 64 GT - Brochure Model Overview

The Targa 64 offers owners 6-7 berths and boasts a superb, full-beam master stateroom amidships with oversized double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, and access to the master en-suite shower room. The en-suite aboard the Targa 64 features an electro-chromatic partition; a high-tech system that changes the glass from opaque to transparent at the flick of a switch, allowing light to flood through the feature windows into the cabin.

The Targa 64’s master accommodation is complemented by a forward stateroom with oversized double bed and en-suite access, as well as a unique twin side-by-side port cabin that can convert to a double berth if required. Owners can also opt for an additional aft crew cabin.

In addition to the sleeping accommodation, the Targa 64 has a spacious outdoor cockpit that features a comprehensive galley bar, folding solid teak table, and extensive seating for al-fresco entertaining.
Walking indoors reveals a luxuriously appointed deck saloon and helm position, maximising the available light from the curved side windows and huge sliding full-width roof.

The deck saloon hosts a height adjustable folding electric table, forward L-shaped seating with coffee table, and a practical yet stylish sideboard that houses an integrated icemaker and bottle, glass and cutlery stowage. The 64’s deck saloon also benefits from a 32” LCD TV and DVD/CD audio system, a feature skylight with electric blinds and mood lighting.

The deck saloon/helm station leads to a particular highlight of the model, a wide atrium-style access to the lower saloon and galley area, which features a contemporary continental galley and seating quartile. Equipped with everything the Fairline owner could require, the highly specified galley with full-height standing headroom, includes a microwave oven, fridge/freezer, twin sinks, optional dishwasher and generous stowage, including an underfloor stowage hold.

The Targa 64 also boasts generous sun-bathing areas and a garage with winch system for concealed storage of a jet RIB or PWC beneath the aft sundeck. There is also a telescopic swim ladder to the bathing platform.

The new retractable GRAN TURISMO roof aboard the Targa 64 has been tested extensively by the Fairline engineering team. Fairline has trialled several roof mechanisms on its boats and its latest system, created by Lola Engineering, incorporates a pneumatic seal; providing the most robust system currently available, patented across the world. Fairline has put the system through 7,500 cycles – equivalent to 32 years use with no engineering concerns.

With her legendary sea-keeping Olesinski designed hull and through hull exhausts to reduce noise and vibration, the Targa 64 gives owners spaciousness combined with exceptional marine engineering and equipment specification.

As she is one of Fairline’s larger yachts, customers can also take advantage of the specialist advice and exclusive services of the Fairline YACHT DIVISION.

2009 Fairline Targa 64 GT - Brochure Foreword

The FAIRLINE marque was born of one man’s vision and passion for excellence. Jack Newington, the company’s founder, was a man committed to the highest ideals of quality and integrity; more than that, he had the rare ability to take his own high standards and values and weave them into the fabric of what was to become the hugely successful enterprise that is the Fairline of today.

His son, Sam, led the company for 25 formative years and was from the same mould, driving it forward with a single-minded commitment to quality and innovation. Even now, forty years on, those original and essential core values still drive everything we do.

In short, Fairline excels at building boats that delight, exhilarate and astonish their owners. This is the marque for those who look beyond the brash and the superficial. These are boats with a beauty and integrity that is truly ‘more than skin deep’. Boats built with a rare passion … and a unique level of excellence.

A Rare Passion
ALTHOUGH FAIRLINE WAS BORN OF ONE MAN’S VISION MORE THAN 40 YEARS AGO, THE SAME PASSION FOR EXCELLENCE, DEDICATION TO CUTTING-EDGE TECHNICAL ADVANCEMENT AND PEERLESS CRAFTSMANSHIP STILL RUNS THROUGH THE COMPANY TODAY. IN ALL THE MOTOR YACHTS THAT MAKE UP THE FAIRLINE RANGE, THAT RARE PASSION SHINES THROUGH.

Now an international luxury brand recognised and appreciated the world over, and the winner of many recent awards from the marine industry and the press, Fairline enjoys an unusual level of customer loyalty, largely as a result of two key factors; the commitment to building yachts that lead their class in terms of design, technical integrity and quality - and the focus placed on customer satisfaction and service at every stage of ownership.

In short, we build a line-up of world class yachts that deliver matchless pleasure and enjoyment to their owners. We do so with great pride in our work - and with a rare passion that fully reflects the original ethos and long heritage of the Fairline brand.

A Passion for Design
COLOUR OR SHAPE ALONE CAN NEVER CREATE A PERFECTLY RESOLVED DESIGN. THE FEEL. THE MOOD. THE TOUCH. THE PRACTICALITY. THE PLEASURE YOU GET FROM SIMPLY OWNING AND USING SOMETHING. IT IS WHEN ELEMENTS LIKE THESE COME TOGETHER THAT GREAT DESIGN RESULTS.

Almost above all else, it is our passion for design that sets a Fairline apart. Just like you, we expect the aesthetic appeal of a boat to be every bit as well crafted as its essential mechanical components and at Fairline, this is not a simple case of form following function, more a question of ensuring that form and function come seamlessly together to create a uniquely special look and feel that clearly demonstrates our passion for getting things absolutely right in every aspect.

A Passion for Detail
ACCEPTING THE MANY DEMANDS OF OUR DESIGN ETHOS, WE KNOW THAT THE SMALLEST DETAIL REALLY, REALLY MATTERS. WHICH IS WHY OUR PHILOSOPHY OF CREATING BOATS IN WHICH THE CRAFTSMANSHIP AND BUILD INTEGRITY CAN STAND UP TO THE MOST INTENSE SCRUTINY, HOWEVER CLOSELY AND EXPERTLY YOU LOOK, HAS WON SO MANY FRIENDS AND LOYAL OWNERS THE WORLD OVER.

It’s why we take such care to conceal screw-heads and fixtures on all our cabinetry and make doors that fit firmly and snugly to eliminate any possible source of rattle or hum. It’s why the grain of our wood is lovingly matched across bulkheads, doors, drawers and cabinets, creating a seamless beauty … and why the atmosphere created by the careful design of lighting, on deck and below, is so seductive of an evening. Small examples certainly, but such passionate attention to detail and quality is evident throughout our boats, even in the places you will never see.

A Passion for Performance
AT FAIRLINE, WE DON’T CONSIDER PERFORMANCE ONLY IN TERMS OF TOP SPEED OR SEA-KEEPING. YES, OUR HULLS ARE RENOWNED FOR THEIR SOPHISTICATED SOFT-RIDING ABILITY AND COMFORT, AS WELL AS THEIR IMMENSE TOUGHNESS, ENABLING YOU TO CRUISE FAR AND WIDE WITH UTTER CONFIDENCE – AND OF COURSE, WHEN IT COMES TO POWER, EVERY ENGINE OPTION PACKAGE IS CAREFULLY SELECTED AND TESTED SPECIFICALLY FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL HULL DESIGN, TO ENSURE IT DELIVERS THE MAXIMUM POSSIBLE COMBINATION OF SPEED, ECONOMY AND EASE OF CONTROL.

But where our passion really shows is in creating a boat that truly performs for you in the truest sense of the word; every aspect of the on-board engineering, from the mooring, anchoring and tender-handling facilities to the domestic equipment and electronic boat management systems, is designed to work in perfect harmony. Together, they create an all-round performance capability that is truly unique to the Fairline marque.

A Passion for Perfection
JUST AS WE TEST AND RE-TEST EVERY INDIVIDUAL ELEMENT OF YOUR BOAT’S SYSTEMS AND CONSTRUCTION FOR QUALITY, SUITABILITY AND PURPOSE BEFORE THAT PART IS ALLOWED ONTO AN ASSEMBLY LINE, SO A FINISHED BOAT IS NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE NEAR A CUSTOMER UNTIL WE’VE … WELL, TESTED SOME MORE!

Our quality control and testing facility on the English coast at Ipswich, is a constant hive of activity as technicians and engineers put finished models through their paces. We test and log everything - from sound levels in the cabins and living areas - to the functioning of the electronic systems - to the perfection of all the furnishings, fixtures and fittings. Not just on the dockside, but also out at sea during intensive pre-delivery sea-trials.

It’s a high tech business that nevertheless demands a detailed eye and a profound knowledge of the entirety of a boat’s operating systems, as well as an appreciation of the exceptional standards our owners have come to expect. After all, when you buy one of the world’s class-leading yachts, we think we should do our utmost to deliver you perfection right from the very first day.

A Passion for Service
CHOOSING AND CREATING THE YACHT OF YOUR DREAMS IS A PROCESS YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO ENJOY AS MUCH AS THE ACTUAL OWNERSHIP. SO OUR ATTITUDE TO SERVICE IS RATHER UNIQUE. A VITAL INGREDIENT IS THE PRACTICAL, FRIENDLY, DETAILED ADVICE WE GIVE TO HELP YOU MAKE THE MANY DECISIONS INVOLVED IN SELECTION AND SPECIFICATION; SO WE CAN BE SURE WE CREATE THE PERFECT FIT FOR EVERY INDIVIDUAL CLIENT.

That's why, over the years, we have invested in the development of two dedicated teams, capable of extending our passion for quality into this next important stage, and the result is a level of service unique in the industry.

First, Fairline is represented by over 60 dealers in more than 40 countries, every one fully committed to the Fairline brand and creating a strong, cohesive network that stretches right around the world. Then, for the larger models, a factory-based team from our Yacht Division supports the dealer with expert advice and an exclusive service to our clients that remains unmatched. One thing they all share is a true passion for Fairline, together with massive experience and the genuine desire to help you discover the supreme pleasure of ownership for which the marque is justly renowned.
